The dreamfish (Sarpa salpa) is one of the most eye-catching species found in the Mediterranean habitat of Oceanogràfic.
Where to find them?
You can find them in the Shoal aquarium in the Mediterranean area. It is an aquarium which represents the environment of the rocky coasts on which waves constantly break.
This fish, typical of the Mediterranean Sea, is characterised by the eye-catching horizontal yellow bands which cover its whole body from the head to the tail. It is very common to see them forming schools among the leaves of the posidonia meadows.
It lives at depths of between 2 and 100 metres and reaches a size of 50 centimetres.
